Job Title: Associate Investment

Location: Bangalore

Reporting To: VP

Investment Focus:

The firm primarily invests in early stage and early growth stage companies.

Key investment themes include Applied AI, SaaS, Fintech, Healthtech, Deeptech, Edtech, Agtech and Jobtech.

The Associate will work closely with the investment team to evaluate technology driven businesses and identify high potential investment opportunities.

Role Overview:

The Associate will be part of the investment team and will be responsible for evaluating early stage and early growth stage startups.

The role involves analysing companies from an investment perspective, understanding their business models, markets, technology, financial performance and growth potential.

The candidate will work closely with senior members of the investment team and have exposure to startup founders and investment decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate early stage and early growth stage technology startups

- Conduct market research and industry analysis

- Evaluate startup business models, products, technology and competitive positioning

- Analyse financial performance, business metrics and growth trends

- Conduct competitive analysis and market sizing

- Support financial analysis and valuation of potential investments

- Conduct business and commercial due diligence

- Assess founders, management teams and overall execution capability

- Develop investment theses and assess the potential risks and opportunities associated with an investment

- Prepare investment analysis, presentations and investment memos

- Track relevant technology and Applied AI trends and identify emerging investment opportunities

- Support the investment team throughout the deal evaluation process

- Interact with founders and other stakeholders as required

- Present findings and recommendations to senior members of the investment team

Preferred Candidate Background:

Candidates with experience in Venture Capital, Strategy Consulting, Investment Banking, Finance, Corporate Strategy or Founder Office roles are preferred.

Candidates should have strong analytical and problem solving abilities along with a good understanding of startups, technology, business models and financial analysis.

Exposure to startup investing, financial modelling, valuation, market research or due diligence will be highly relevant.

Education Criteria:

1. BTech Candidates:

- BTech graduation year 2023 or 2024 from IIT, IISc or BITS Pilani

- Minimum 8 CGPA

- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience

- Additional finance qualification or coursework preferred, such as CFA Level 1 or finance modelling

2. MBA Candidates:

- MBA graduation year 2025 from an IIM

- BTech background is mandatory

- Minimum 8 CGPA

- Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience
