Associate Director - Finance & Accounting Controllership - Big 4 | 12-15 Yrs | CA/MBA/CMA | US Shift - 4 PM -12:30 AM

Role Overview:

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Associate Director to lead the Finance & Accounting Controllership function within a global delivery model. This role is critical in driving controllership excellence, ensuring financial integrity, managing record-to-report processes, and enabling data-driven insights for global (primarily US-based) stakeholders.

The individual will lead large teams, ensure compliance with accounting standards, drive transformation initiatives, and support business performance through strong governance, reporting, and operational rigor.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead month-end close and general ledger operations, including accruals, reconciliations, journals, and reporting

- Ensure compliance with US GAAP / relevant accounting standards and organizational policies

- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and cash management processes

- Lead P&L and balance sheet reviews, providing actionable insights to leadership

- Monitor key financial metrics such as costs, margins, utilization, and working capital

- Design and strengthen internal controls and audit frameworks

- Drive finance transformation initiatives, including transitions and operating model improvements

- Leverage tools such as ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), reporting tools, and analytics platforms

- Engage with global stakeholders and senior leadership for performance reviews and decision support

- Lead and mentor large teams (20-50+), driving performance, engagement, and capability building

- Manage delivery governance, SLAs, KPIs, and stakeholder communication

Required Skillset:

- Strong expertise in financial accounting, controllership, and record-to-report processes

- Deep understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial governance frameworks

- Proven experience in managing large teams and complex global operations

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- CA / CPA / ACCA / MBA with 12-15+ years of progressive experience

- Experience in shared services, consulting, or service environments

- Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, Alteryx, Excel advanced, or similar tools

- Exposure to global delivery models and US stakeholders

- Willingness to work in US shift (4 PM - 12:30 AM IST)
