Assistant Vice President - Legal - Banking

AVP - Legal (Non-Litigation Contracts & Vendor Agreements)

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize vendor, commercial, technology, outsourcing, and service agreements.

- Provide legal support and risk assessment for business, procurement, operations, and technology teams.

- Ensure contractual compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

- Lead contract negotiations with vendors, partners, and third-party service providers.

- Develop and maintain standard contract templates, playbooks, and legal documentation.

- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including execution, renewals, amendments, and record keeping.

- Advise stakeholders on contractual risks, and dispute prevention.

- Coordinate with internal teams and external counsel on legal and commercial matters.

- Support audits, regulatory reviews, and vendor governance initiatives.

Preferred Experience: 7-12 years in Banks, NBFCs, Fintech, or Financial Services organizations with strong exposure to non-litigation commercial contracting.
