Assistant Vice President - Land Acquisition


Description:


1. Strategic Planning & Execution


- Develop and implement comprehensive land acquisition strategies to support organizational growth and project objectives.


- Identify and evaluate potential land opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building with landowners, brokers, and other industry professionals.


- Negotiate purchase agreements and contracts with landowners, brokers, and government entities to acquire suitable properties for development or investment purposes.


2. Due Diligence & Compliance


- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential land parcels, including zoning regulations, environmental assessments, and any other relevant factors.


- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national laws, including the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.


- Coordinate with legal teams to ensure all necessary legal documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.


3. Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management


- Build and maintain relationships with landowners, community leaders, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth land acquisition and development processes.


- Liaise with local authorities to facilitate smooth acquisition processes and resolve any disputes or issues.


- Represent the company in public forums and negotiations, ensuring alignment with project timelines and resource allocation.


4. Team Leadership & Collaboration


- Lead and mentor a team of land acquisition professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental objectives.


- Collaborate with internal departments such as legal, finance, and project management to align acquisition strategies with project timelines and budgets.


5. Risk Management & Reporting


- Identify and mitigate risks associated with land acquisition, including legal, financial, and environmental risks.


- Prepare and present regular reports on land acquisition progress, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.


- Monitor and report on land acquisition progress and outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
