Role Summary:
We are seeking a professional with strong stakeholder management and communication skills to maintain effective industrial relations and ensure smooth operational continuity with workers and all internal/external stakeholders.
Department/Function: HR - IR & Admin
Location: Mumbai
Minimum 15+ years of core Industrial Relations experience
Reports to: Head - HR
Role: Industrial Relations Specialist
Designation: AVP
Team Handling: Yes
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer corporate policies related to compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, and health & safety programs.
- Oversee all employee-related documentation, benefits administration, leave tracking, management reports, workers' compensation claims, and return-to-work programs.
- Effectively handle employee relations issues including grievances, arbitration procedures, performance matters, and disciplinary actions.
- Inspect and audit compliance with statutory laws: PF, ESIC, Factories Act, Contract Labour Act, LWF, Minimum Wages, etc.
- Oversee employee performance management and support salary planning.
- Develop labour policies.
- Handle grievance procedures and conflict resolution.
- Manage dispute resolution involving unions, management, employees, and government bodies.
- Ensure HR staff is knowledgeable about union contract compliance.
- Advise management on contract negotiations and union-related matters.
- Consult with HR leadership regarding personnel policies.
- Draft and revise union contracts.
- Participate in labour-management meetings.
- Prepare documentation related to labour relations activities.
Academic Background:
PGDM/MBA in Human Resources (Essential)
Experience Required:
- Minimum 15+ years of core Industrial Relations experience
- Strong experience in union handling is essential
