We are looking for an experienced AVP Fund Accounting professional to lead end-to-end fund accounting operations across Private Equity, Private Credit, and Hedge Funds. The role will manage client delivery, financial reporting, operational controls, team leadership, transitions, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the complete fund accounting cycle across PE, Private Credit, and Hedge Fund structures.

- Review and oversee NAV calculations, financial statements, performance calculations, investor allocations, and regulatory reporting.

- Ensure all deliverables meet agreed SLAs, SOPs, control frameworks, and quality standards.

- Act as the escalation point for complex client queries, accounting issues, and operational matters.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and regularly interact with client stakeholders through calls and written communication.

- Drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies across fund accounting processes.

- Support hiring initiatives, including candidate screening, interviews, and talent selection.

- Support business growth initiatives, new mandates, transitions, and client onboarding.

- Develop and maintain SOPs, checklists, training materials, and knowledge repositories.

- Build subject-matter expertise across asset classes and conduct internal training programs.

- Manage team capacity planning, performance management, and resource allocation.

- Mentor Managers and conduct regular performance reviews.

- Lead or support transitions and implementation of new clients and fund structures.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and resolution of complex accounting and operational issues.

Mandatory Skills:

- 12-15 years of relevant experience in Fund Accounting / Investment Accounting / Financial Services Operations.

- MBA (Finance), CA, or equivalent qualification.

- Strong understanding of fund accounting, NAV calculation, performance calculations, pricing and valuation of financial instruments, investor allocations, and financial reporting.

- Hands-on experience across multiple asset classes, including Equities, Fixed Income, Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and/or Private Credit.

- Strong understanding of fund structures, accounting principles, and financial reporting requirements.

- Experience managing large teams and mentoring Managers or senior team members.

- Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management experience.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience with accounting systems, general ledger platforms, valuation tools, and front-/back-office processing systems.

- Strong understanding of operational controls, SLAs, SOPs, and risk management.
