Role Overview:
The Assistant Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, overseeing the end-to-end financial health and long-term planning of the organization. This role involves navigating complex financial landscapes, leading large-scale transformation initiatives, and ensuring rigorous due diligence in all investment and operational decisions. You will work closely with executive stakeholders to translate financial data into actionable business insights, directly influencing the company's fiscal trajectory and strategic positioning in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting and long-range forecasting processes to ensure alignment with the company's strategic growth objectives.
- Direct comprehensive due diligence activities for potential investments and business acquisitions to mitigate financial risk and identify value-creation opportunities.
- Spearhead finance transformation projects, including the implementation of advanced analytical tools and process automation to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional leadership teams to provide deep-dive financial analysis that supports informed decision-making on capital allocation and operational efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators and market trends to proactively identify financial variances and recommend corrective strategies to executive management.
- Mentor and develop high-performing finance teams, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and continuous improvement.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, complex variance analysis, and multi-year strategic planning within large-scale corporate environments.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale finance transformation initiatives, including the adoption of modern ERP systems and data visualization platforms.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and communicate complex financial narratives to non-financial audiences.
- Strong analytical mindset with a track record of executing rigorous due diligence for M&A or high-stakes capital projects.
- Advanced academic background in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, typically supported by a CA, CFA, or MBA from a top-tier institution.
- 15 - 22 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with a demonstrated capacity to thrive in a high-growth, remote or hybrid professional environment.
