Role Purpose:

Lead and oversee the end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, and compliance for the renewable energy business. The role will ensure robust financial controls, accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and support business growth through strong accounting governance across multiple project SPVs.

Candidate Profile:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15-20 years of experience.

- Strong experience in financial accounting, consolidation, and statutory compliance.

- Prior experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, power, or EPC sector preferred.

- Exposure to project/SPV accounting and multi-entity structures.

- Strong understanding of Ind AS, audit processes, and regulatory frameworks.

- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP / Oracle / Microsoft Dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

- Lead end-to-end financial accounting and book closure in accordance with Ind AS / IFRS and Indian GAAP.

- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing for corporate and project entities.

- Prepare and review standalone and consolidated financial statements.

- Oversee accounting for renewable project SPVs, EPC transactions, PPA revenue recognition, and project capitalization.

Compliance & Regulatory:

- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, and other regulatory requirements.

- Manage statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and regulatory filings.

- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Project & SPV Accounting:

- Manage accounting for multiple project SPVs including solar/wind assets.

- Oversee capitalization of projects, asset accounting, depreciation, and project cost tracking.

- Ensure accurate PPA revenue accounting and billing reconciliation with DISCOMs / offtakers.

Financial Controls & Governance:

- Establish and strengthen internal financial controls, accounting policies, and SOPs.

- Drive improvements in ERP systems, financial reporting frameworks, and automation.

- Ensure strong governance and audit readiness across all entities.

Stakeholder Management:

- Work closely with Treasury, Tax, Project Finance, and Business teams.

- Support investor reporting, lender reporting, and due diligence processes.

- Assist the leadership team with financial insights and accounting implications of strategic decisions.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team across corporate and project entities.

- Build scalable processes to support business expansion and new renewable projects.
