Department: Legal Experience: 2 to 5 Years Reporting To: Manager Legal (Contracts & Claims) / Head Legal Industry: Infrastructure / Environmental Services / Utilities / EPC Role Objective: To support the legal and contract management team by assisting in the review, drafting, and administration of project-related contracts and claims. The role involves supporting risk mitigation strategies, ensuring contractual compliance, and assisting in claim formulation and dispute resolution processes. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in reviewing client contracts, work orders, and sub-contract agreements - Prepare and maintain project data sheets, risk registers, and contract compliance trackers - Support drafting of legal and contractual correspondence related to delays, variations, and claims - Coordinate with project and site teams for documentation of progress delays, price escalations, and time extension requirements - Assist in the preparation of claims for additional costs, variations, and extensions of time - Maintain records related to project claims, client communications, and contract amendments - Support in drafting MoMs, internal legal notes, and claim justifications - Liaise with internal stakeholders and external counsel for dispute management and arbitration support - Track contract closure milestones including completion certificates, return of guarantees, and release of final payments Skills & Competencies Required: - Good understanding of Indian Contract Law and Construction/Infrastructure contracts - Strong legal drafting and documentation skills - Excellent coordination and communication abilities - Detail-oriented with effective record management skills - Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Qualification: - LLB from a reputed university (LLM preferred but not mandatory) - 2 to 5 years of experience in legal roles focused on contracts and claims, preferably in infrastructure, waste management, utilities, or real estate sectors Preferred Industries: - Infrastructure / EPC Projects - Environmental Services / Waste Management - Real Estate & Facility Management - Utilities / Urban Development Projects - Construction & Engineering Services
