The Assistant Manager - HR plays a critical role in aligning business objectives with employees and management. This role serves as a consultant on human resource-related issues, acts as an employee champion, and drives HR initiatives that improve organizational performance, employee engagement, and workforce capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leadership to understand business needs and develop HR strategies that support the organization's goals.
- Act as a change agent to drive organizational transformation and continuous improvement in people practices.
- Support recruitment and talent acquisition strategies for production, engineering, and support functions.
- Lead employee relations efforts by addressing demands, grievances, and other HR issues in a timely and legally compliant manner.
- Manage performance management, coaching, and development processes for plant employees and supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, health & safety regulations, and internal HR policies.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, workforce planning, and retention strategies.
- Conduct regular analysis of HR metrics (e.g., absenteeism, turnover, productivity) and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Oversee on boarding and orientation programs to ensure seamless integration of new hires.
- Provide guidance on organizational design, succession planning, and leadership development.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field;
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
