Role Overview:
The incumbent will be responsible for managing and growing the CSD (Defence Canteen Stores Department) business across India. This includes end-to-end handling of CSD product approvals, demand generation, order execution, relationship management with stakeholders, compliance, and ensuring business profitability from the Defence channel.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Growth
- Drive sales and achieve revenue targets from the CSD channel across India.
- Expand product portfolio in CSD through timely new product introductions and approvals.
- Monitor regional performance and ensure product availability across depots and URCs (Unit Run Canteens).
2. CSD Approvals & Liaison
- Manage product listing, registration, and price revision processes with CSD Head Office, Mumbai.
- Liaise with DDGCS (Directorate General Canteen Services), CSD HO & Depot Managers for smooth operations.
- Ensure timely compliance with documentation, certifications, and statutory requirements.
3. Depot & URC Management
- Build strong relationships with Depot Managers and URC Officers for order generation.
- Track depot-wise stock levels and ensure smooth secondary sales to URCs.
- Handle grievances, delays, and escalations effectively.
4. Operations & Supply Chain Coordination
- Coordinate with supply chain/logistics for timely supply to depots.
- Monitor inventory, billing cycles, and payment realization from CSD.
- Ensure adherence to laid down procurement policies of CSD.
- Maintain strong relations with Defence personnel and CSD authorities.
- Represent the organization in CSD meetings, vendor conferences, and official interactions.
- Develop goodwill and credibility within the Defence ecosystem.
6. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to CSD rules, pricing policies, and statutory norms.
- Maintain MIS on sales, orders, claims, price revisions, and depot performance.
- Provide regular management reports on business performance and opportunities.
