
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Relations professional to support and strengthen employee relations, labour law compliance, workforce management, and statutory compliance within a large manufacturing setup.
The role will be responsible for maintaining a harmonious industrial relations environment, managing contract labour and apprentices, handling disciplinary matters, ensuring compliance with labour regulations, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Industrial Relations & Employee Relations
- Maintain harmonious employee relations across the plant.
- Handle employee grievances and ensure timely resolution.
- Drive employee engagement and communication initiatives.
- Support workforce discipline and productivity improvement.
Contract Labour & Apprentice Management :
- Manage deployment and compliance of contract labour and apprentices.
- Monitor contractor performance and workforce availability.
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements related to contract labour.
Labour Law & Statutory Compliance :
- Ensure compliance with Factory Act, CLRA, Apprentices Act, Standing Orders, and other applicable labour laws.
- Coordinate labour compliance audits and inspections.
- Maintain statutory records, registers, and documentation.
Disciplinary Proceedings :
- Handle disciplinary cases, domestic enquiries, charge sheets, and show-cause notices.
- Ensure proper documentation and legal compliance in disciplinary matters.
- Support management in conflict resolution and workforce discipline.
Government Liaisoning :
- Coordinate with Labour Department officials, Factory Inspectors, and other regulatory authorities.
- Represent the organization during inspections and compliance reviews.
- Maintain positive relationships with government and local authorities.
Compensation & Welfare Administration :
- Support wage administration and labour-related compliance.
- Administer statutory and non-statutory employee welfare initiatives.
- Monitor workforce-related compliance and documentation.
Preferred Candidate Profile :
- 6-9 years of Industrial Relations experience in manufacturing plants.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Experience handling contract labour and apprentices.
- Exposure to disciplinary proceedings and domestic enquiries.
- Experience liaising with labour authorities and government agencies.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with Production, Maintenance, Plant Leadership, and Corporate HR teams.
