POSITION TITLE ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER - CENTRAL   LOCATION INDORE  GRADE M1   TERRITORY COVERED Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh & Rajasthan   DEPARTMENT SALES AND MARKETING   TYPE OF ROLE INDIVIDUAL / PEOPLE MANAGER  REPORTS TO HEAD - SALES   (1) ROLE OVERVIEW   To manage the sales of region, control sales team consisting of ASMs, Sales Officers and contract sales representatives, maintain a large sales force and ensure each one performs the role that is expected of them and deliver results in line with the organizational expectations. Increase/ decrease manpower allocated and implement local activities to improve sales.  (2) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   (a) Achievement of sales objectives:  - Break down regional objectives into area wise objectives   - Identify and recruit the manpower required to man the area  - Control reporting sales team to achieve the KRAs allocated to each member  (b) Strategize and implement distribution extension programs :  - Strategize various routes of expanding distribution  - Present plans and obtain approval  - Implement and monitor results   (c) Implement local promotional efforts :  - Coordinate with marketing department to formulate various local activities in the region assigned  - Allocate resources required to implement the local activities  - Monitor results  (3) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:   EDUCATION   Full time MBA from reputed Management Institute/ Non - MBA with 10 - 13 years of experience in FMCG industry  EXPERIENCE   7 - 10 years of experience in hardcore sales/ 10 - 13 years of experience in FMCG industry for Non - MBA   (4) KEY COMPETENCIES   TECHNICAL   - Good man-management skills  - Data analysis  - Ability to communicate with different levels of sales team members  - Knowledge of methods that can be used to extend distribution in FMCG  BEHAVIORAL   - Drive for Results  - Managing profitability  - Excellent communication skills  - Building Relationships  - Emphasizing Excellence  - Display honesty, integrity and a strong sense of ethics in all decisions and actions
