Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Associate General Manager (AGM) - Sales to lead strategic sales initiatives, drive revenue growth, and manage high-performing sales teams across regions. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of B2B or B2C sales leadership, deep market understanding, and the ability to scale business in a competitive environment.
This is a leadership position involving P&L responsibility, team management, and cross-functional collaboration with marketing, operations, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term sales strategies aligned with business goals.
- Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and partnerships.
- Own and drive end-to-end sales funnel management - from lead generation to deal closure.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets across regions.
- Monitor key sales metrics (pipeline, conversion rates, revenue per rep, etc.) and ensure accountability.
- Forecast sales performance and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
- Manage relationships with key clients and stakeholders; act as a trusted advisor.
- Oversee key account strategies, retention, and expansion.
- Represent the company at industry forums, client meetings, and strategic presentations.
- Recruit, train, and mentor regional/state sales managers, team leads, and field executives.
- Set KPIs and ensure continuous performance monitoring, feedback, and improvement.
- Foster a performance-driven, collaborative, and customer-centric sales culture.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
- Use data and insights to make informed business decisions and refine go-to-market strategies.
- Work closely with marketing for lead generation campaigns and brand positioning.
- Collaborate with product and operations teams to improve offerings based on customer feedback.
- Support finance and legal teams in contract negotiation and compliance processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management (preferred).
- 8 -12 years of progressive experience in sales with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or regional head role.
- Proven experience in B2B or B2C sales across sectors such as FMCG, Telecom, EdTech, SaaS, FinTech, Real Estate, Manufacturing, or similar.
- Strong negotiation, strategic planning, and account management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; presentation and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and Microsoft Office Suite.
