About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the end-to-end Procurement & Contracting function of the organization. The role involves establishing strategic, cost-effective procurement practices and ensuring smooth operations across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in materials management, vendor development, and contract negotiation while driving operational excellence and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the organizations vision and strategy for Procurement & Contracting.
- Lead end-to-end procurement operations (P2P cycle) across multiple categories such as Ferrosilicon, Glass, Quartz, Silica Sand, Soda Ash, Limestone, Dolomite, Aluminium Hydroxide.
- Develop, implement, and monitor cost-effective sourcing and contracting strategies.
- Oversee vendor development, negotiation, and performance management.
- Coordinate with internal teams for NDA execution, bid evaluations, and contract finalization.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and commercial terms in all contracts.
- Conduct market surveys, plan procurement schedules, and ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Manage large teams and multiple outsourced partners effectively.
- Drive process improvements, digital adoption, and operational efficiency across the supply chain.
- Ensure robust logistics coordination and cross-functional communication.
- Maintain strong control over inventory levels and documentation systems.
- Stay updated with regulatory changes and ensure compliance across procurement operations.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Deep understanding of bulk procurement, contracting, logistics, and packaging.
- Strong commercial acumen and cost-benefit analysis skills.
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation capabilities.
- Ability to execute process improvements and adopt new technologies.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with capacity to assess risks and devise mitigation plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results.
