Direct reports: Post contracting Associate Manager and Manager,
Core purpose:
- Post contracting Tower Head to ensure contractual obligations, SLAs and risks are monitored and governed across all businesses.
- Act as enterprise CLM CoE Head, work closely with CLM SME, CLM Post Contracting Head and CLM Head in shaping CLM strategy, operating model, and roadmap (including AI enabled obligations extraction, clause libraries, and playbooks) for the CLM framework for the Group
- Provide advisory / functional consulting to business and leadership along with Head- Post Contracting on post award governance, not just support, and build future self sufficiency in business contract managers.
Key accountability:
- Define and maintain enterprise wide CLM COE roadmap, and success metrics for post contracting along with Post Contracting Head.
- Define Post contracting operations and outcomes and Lead the Post contracting COE that monitors obligations, SLAs, KPIs, renewals, penalties and variations for all in scope contracts.
- Set processes and guardrails for CLM COE which shall be measured on outcomes (reduction in non compliance, leakages, missed renewals, disputes)
- Escalate systemic risks and recommend corrective actions and commercial levers to business and Legal along with Post Contracting Head.
- Advise CXOs, business heads and deal teams on post award governance models, RASCI, approval workflows and risk allocation in high value/strategic contracts.
- Run contract performance reviews with business (quarterly/bi annual) and present dashboards on compliance, value leakage, and improvement programs.
- Partner with Head - Post Contracting and Contracting for Business to translate risk appetite and policies into practical playbooks, fallback positions, and KPIs for contract managers.
- Co lead the CLM/AI charter with the central AI/data team for clause extraction, obligation tagging, and risk scoring.
- Own prompt libraries, extraction templates and validation processes to ensure AI outputs are accurate, explainable and business ready.
- Design and maintain the post contracting governance framework, policies, and operating procedures for all sectors (airports, energy, etc.).
- Establish CLM CoE capabilities: standards, templates, training, knowledge base, and community of practice for business contract managers.
- Define and run maturity assessments across BUs and recommend roadmap to move from manual to insight driven, partly self serve models.
- Reduction in contract non compliance cases and value leakage year on year across in scope portfolio.
- % of contracts with fully mapped and monitored obligations / SLAs in CLM vs outside system tracking.
- Improvement in on time renewals / notices and reduction in unplanned auto renewals and waiver of penalties.
- AI extraction accuracy rates, cycle time improvements, and share of contracts processed with AI assisted workflows.
Skills and qualification:
- Law Graduate with minimum 10 years in commercial contracts / legal operations with at least 4-5 years leading teams and CLM platforms and post contracting; experience in infra/airports/energy preferred.
- Strong understanding of post award lifecycle, obligations management, and common law / Indian law contracting.
- Hands on experience implementing and scaling at least one enterprise grade CLM (Icertis, Sirion, DocuSign CLM, etc.), including integrations.
- Exposure to AI/ML in legal or contract context (even via POCs) and comfort working with data/AI teams.
