Role Overview:

The AGM Legal - Non Litigation role is a critical position responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and guidance on all non-litigation matters related to the company's real estate projects. This role involves working closely with internal teams, external legal counsel, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and facilitate smooth project execution. The AGM Legal will play a key role in safeguarding the company's interests and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice and support on all non-litigation matters related to real estate development, including land acquisition, due diligence, contract drafting and negotiation, and regulatory compliance.

- Conduct thorough legal due diligence on land parcels and properties to assess risks and ensure clear title.

- Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including sale agreements, lease agreements, collaboration agreements, and vendor contracts, to protect the company's interests.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines related to real estate development, including RERA, environmental regulations, and municipal laws.

- Liaise with regulatory authorities, government agencies, and external legal counsel to obtain necessary approvals, licenses, and permits for projects.

- Develop and implement legal strategies and policies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance across the organization.

- Stay updated on changes in real estate laws and regulations and advise the management on their implications.

- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on legal and regulatory matters related to real estate.

- Manage and oversee external legal counsel, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality legal services.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in Real Estate Law, with a strong understanding of land acquisition, property laws, and regulatory compliance.

- Proven ability to conduct legal due diligence, draft and negotiate complex agreements, and provide strategic legal advice.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, external counsel, and regulatory authorities.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate legal risks.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university; Master's degree in Law (LLM) preferred.

- Minimum 9-14 years of relevant experience in real estate law, preferably with a real estate developer or law firm specializing in real estate.
