Looking for a high-performing procurement professional to join its core Purchase team in Kharagpur. The AGM/DGM/Sr. Manager - Procurement: Bulk Raw Materials (Cement, Ore, Coal, Limestone, Dolomite) will be responsible for procurement strategy, vendor development, and cost optimization across key categories such as Civil Materials, Quality Control Instruments, and Automotive Components/Parts. The role will report to the GM: Procurement and Purchase.

Key Responsibilities:

Category Ownership:

1. Manage procurement of Civil construction materials, QC lab/testing instruments, and automotive spare parts for plant and project requirements.

2. Ensure specifications, quality standards, and cost targets are met.

- Vendor Development & Negotiation:

1. Identify, qualify, and develop reliable suppliers.

2. Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and service levels.

Strategic Sourcing & Planning:

1. Work closely with project, maintenance, civil, QC, and stores teams to understand material requirements and forecast demand.

2. Monitor and manage stock levels, reorder points, and lead times.

Process Compliance & Documentation:

1. Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, approval workflows, and regulatory compliance.

2. Maintain documentation and records in ERP systems.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

1. Coordinate with the civil, QC, and mechanical teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of required materials and services.

2. Collaborate with the finance team for timely payment processing and budget alignment.

Risk & Cost Management:

1. Track market trends, anticipate supply chain disruptions, and proactively manage risks.

2. Drive cost savings through strategic sourcing and efficient procurement practices.
