Job Summary:
The Head of Finance will be responsible for leading and managing the overall financial operations of the organization, ensuring fiscal discipline, statutory compliance, and financial planning aligned with the company's strategic objectives. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to implement robust financial systems and processes to support business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Budgeting:
- Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop long-term financial forecasts and budgets in line with the organization's strategic goals and business plans.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
Accounting and Compliance:
- Supervise all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity in all financial transactions and statements.
- Manage compliance for foreign remittances and associated regulatory requirements.
Cash Flow and Risk Management:
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
- Optimize working capital management and control expenditure within approved budgets.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Regulatory and Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure timely compliance with all applicable financial and taxation laws (Income Tax, GST, Customs, ROC, etc.).
- Establish and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee internal and statutory audits, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, coaching, and opportunities for professional development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the finance function.
Stakeholder Management and Reporting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, financial institutions, and auditors.
- Communicate the company's financial performance, position, and strategy effectively to stakeholders.
- Present regular management reports and financial dashboards to leadership for informed decision-making.
Process Improvement and Best Practices:
- Drive automation and efficiency in financial and accounting processes.
- Implement best practices in finance operations to enhance accuracy, transparency, and control.
- Support digital transformation initiatives in the finance function to improve reporting and analytics capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant / MBA in Finance.
- 12-18 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and compliance roles.
- Proven experience in leading financial planning, audits, and statutory compliance in a mid to large-sized organization.
- Exposure to managing foreign remittances, investor relations, and regulatory bodies preferred.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP, taxation, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
- Leadership with strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
