Role Overview:
- We are looking for a senior finance leader to head the Accounts Receivable & Trade Finance function for a large manufacturing / steel shared services setup.
- The role will be responsible for end-to-end receivables governance, cash flow optimization, trade finance operations, and team leadership while ensuring strong controls, compliance, and stakeholder management.
- This is a high-impact role involving large-value receivables, complex customer structures, and cross-functional coordination with business, treasury, sales, and audit teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end Accounts Receivable operations including billing, collections, credit control, cash application, and reconciliations.
- Drive cash flow improvement and reduction in DSO, overdue receivables, and dispute cycles.
- Lead trade finance activities including Letters of Credit (LCs), Bills of Exchange (BOE), bank guarantees, exports/imports documentation, and coordination with treasury and banks.
- Establish and strengthen credit policies, controls, and approval frameworks in line with business requirements.
- Manage large AR portfolios involving domestic and international customers, dealers, and institutional clients.
- Lead and mentor large teams (3050+ members) across AR and trade finance processes.
- Ensure strong compliance, audit readiness, ICFR, and SOP adherence.
- Partner with sales, commercial, treasury, and legal teams for dispute resolution and risk mitigation.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and digital initiatives within AR and O2C.
- Prepare and present MIS, dashboards, and management reports to senior leadership.

Candidate Profile
- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory
- 12-18+ years of post-qualification experience
- Strong exposure to Accounts Receivable / Order to Cash / Trade Finance
- Experience in Steel / Manufacturing / Metals / Cement OR BPO / Shared Services handling manufacturing clients
- Proven experience in handling high-value receivables and trade finance instruments
- Demonstrated team leadership in mid to large-scale setups
- Strong understanding of controls, compliance, audits, and risk management
- Exposure to ERP systems (SAP preferred) and process automation initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
