
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting Strategy & Governance:
- Own and evolve the enterprise Workday reporting strategy
- Establish governance standards, naming conventions, and best practices to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility across the People function
- Define and maintain a reporting catalog that serves as the single source of truth for all people-related metrics and dashboards
Workday Reporting & Analytics Delivery:
- Design, build, and maintain a broad suite of Workday reports utilizing Workday Report Writer, Composite Reports, BIRT, and Prism Analytics
- Lead the development of dashboards and scorecards aligned to key workforce metrics including headcount, attrition, compensation, talent acquisition, DEI, and workforce planning
- Apply expertise in Calculated Fields, custom report types, and matrix/trending reports to deliver high-quality analytics solutions
Stakeholder Partnership:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence leads, and senior business leaders
- Translate reporting requirements into scalable, actionable solutions
- Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions and proactively identify opportunities where data and analytics can add strategic value to ongoing people initiatives
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor a small team of Workday reporting analysts
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and operational excellence
- Establish clear priorities and manage team capacity
- Support the professional growth of team members through coaching and development planning
Data Integrity & Compliance:
- Partner with Workday System Administration and Data Governance teams to uphold the highest standards of data quality and security
- Ensure all reports and analytics assets comply with relevant data privacy regulations, including GDPR and applicable employment laws
- Properly manage role-based access to sensitive workforce data
System Enhancements & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with Workday's evolving product roadmap, evaluating new reporting features and releases for applicability and adoption
- Lead or contribute to Workday HCM upgrade cycles from a reporting perspective
- Ensure continuity and improvement of existing reporting assets with each product release
Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in HR technology or people analytics
- At least 5 years of hands-on Workday reporting experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with Workday Report Writer, Composite Reports, Calculated Fields, dashboards, and Prism Analytics
- Proven track record of managing complex reporting projects from requirements through delivery in a large, matrixed organization
Preferred:
- Workday Reporting or HCM Pro certification
- Experience with Workday Prism Analytics, People Analytics, or integration with BI platforms such as Tableau or Power BI
- Prior experience in a lead or people management capacity within an HR technology function
