
The Medical Superintendent at Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF) manages daily clinical operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains high-quality patient care in alignment with Tata Trusts and Assam Government initiatives. Key duties include leading medical staff, overseeing policy implementation, budget management, and ensuring patient safety.
Core Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day clinical operations and supervise medical staff (doctors, nurses, technicians) in oncology services.
Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with national/state healthcare regulations, patient safety protocols, and accreditation standards.
Clinical Governance: Collaborate with department heads to develop, update, and implement patient care policies, protocols, and clinical audits.
Administrative Management: Participate in budget planning, resource allocation, and inventory management for medical equipment and services.
Patient Care: Address patient concerns, complaints, and grievances, fostering a patient-centric environment.
Reporting: Submit timely reports to the senior management on operational metrics and clinical performance.
Key Qualifications & Experience
Education: MBBS from a recognized institution is mandatory; a PG degree in Hospital Administration is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 10 to 16 years of clinical or medical administrative experience.
Oncology Experience: Previous experience in a cancer care setting is often required or preferred to manage the specific needs of an ACCF facility.
