
Position Overview:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the regional sales function, driving revenue growth, and strengthening the company's market position in the industrial flow control domain. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background who can manage customer relationships, mentor the sales team, and execute growth initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement
- Define and implement regional sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets.
- Develop market expansion plans for assigned territories and industry verticals.
- Analyze market potential, pricing dynamics, and competitive positioning to optimize sales performance.
2. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Sales Engineers to ensure effective territory coverage and goal achievement.
- Establish clear KPIs, monitor team productivity, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Drive a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement within the team.
3. Business Development & Client Management
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across sectors like Oil & Gas, EPCs, OEMs, and Process Industries.
- Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key customers, consultants, and channel partners.
- Conduct high-impact product presentations, negotiations, and closures with major clients.
4. Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights
- Monitor market trends, industry movements, and competitor activities to provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with the Application Engineering team to tailor solutions that meet client-specific requirements.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and technical seminars to enhance brand visibility.
5. Reporting & Cross-functional Coordination
- Maintain accurate and timely MIS reports covering sales forecasts, pipeline status, and regional performance metrics.
- Coordinate with internal teams - including Operations, Production, and After-Sales Support - to ensure seamless order execution and customer satisfaction.
- Provide structured feedback to product development and marketing teams for continuous innovation.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proven leadership experience in industrial product sales (preferably in process pumps or mechanical systems).
- Strong understanding of B2B industrial sales cycles, key account management, and technical selling.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and sales reporting systems.
- Strategic mindset with an analytical approach to market development.
