Role Overview:
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives within your designated region. You will work closely with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare institutions, building strong relationships and driving business growth by offering tailored tech-driven health monitoring solutions.
This role demands a strong sales acumen, excellent relationship-building skills, and a solid understanding of the healthcare ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth and achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in the healthcare domain-including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and telemedicine providers.
- Understand customer pain points and recommend appropriate AI-powered health monitoring solutions.
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles including pitch presentations, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful solution delivery and client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders and key decision-makers.
- Conduct local market research and competitor analysis to inform sales strategies.
- Execute B2B engagement activities such as workshops, demos, webinars, and hospital visits.
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM system with prospect data, pipeline stages, and follow-up actions.
- Travel locally within the assigned territory as required to meet clients and prospects.
Requirements:
Essential:
- 4-5 years of proven experience in sales or business development in healthcare, healthtech, or IT SaaS startups.
- Strong network and prior engagement with hospitals, nursing homes, healthcare chains, or telemedicine companies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills-both verbal and written.
-Ability to independently manage the sales funnel from lead generation to closing.
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets in a competitive market.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and solution selling.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in channel sales management.
- Experience in capital equipment sales or high-value solution sales in the healthcare industry.
- Comfortable working in startup or high-growth environments.
- Understanding of the hospital procurement process and stakeholder dynamics.
