About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Area Manager to oversee the operations and business performance of Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs) and Multi-Brand Outlets (MBOs) in the Hyderabad region. As a key leader, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing profitability, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring operational excellence across all stores in your area.
This is a strategic role requiring a blend of retail operations expertise, people management skills, and business acumen, particularly within the sportswear and footwear retail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Operations & Business Growth:
- Drive overall business performance across EBOs and MBOs by implementing sales and growth strategies.
- Develop and execute regional business plans in line with the company's goals and market potential.
- Monitor and improve sell-through rates, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Ensure adherence to visual merchandising standards, brand guidelines, and in-store execution plans.
P&L & Financial Accountability;
- Own and manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement for the assigned region.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Analyze store-level performance and implement corrective actions to improve ROI.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor a team comprising Store Managers, Customer Service Associates (CSAs), and Sales Boys (SBs).
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set KPIs, and foster a high-performance culture.
- Identify training needs and organize sales training, product knowledge sessions, and customer service workshops.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Track and report on key metrics such as daily/weekly/monthly sales, footfall, conversion rates, and store productivity.
- Use market and competitor insights to inform pricing, promotions, and merchandising strategies.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure operational compliance across all stores, including inventory management, store audits, SOP adherence, and loss prevention.
- Coordinate with merchandising, supply chain, marketing, HR, and finance teams to streamline store operations.
Key Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience in retail operations, area/store management, preferably within apparel, sportswear, or footwear industry.
- Strong knowledge of EBO and MBO channel management.
- Proven experience in managing large retail teams and achieving sales targets.
- Solid understanding of retail KPIs, budgeting, and P&L management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel, reporting tools, and retail ERP systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
