- Independently manage domestic and international trademark portfolios for a diverse client base.

- Oversee trademark lifecycle activities including searches, filings, renewals, recordals, and maintenance.

- Advise clients on brand protection strategies, clearance, and risk mitigation.

Prosecution & Opposition :

- Handle trademark prosecution from filing to registration, including responses to examination reports.

- Manage and represent clients in opposition, rectification, and cancellation proceedings.

- Coordinate with external counsel, trademark offices, and international associates where required.

Drafting & Advisory :

- Draft and review pleadings, oppositions, counter-statements, affidavits, written submissions, and legal opinions.

- Prepare cease-and-desist notices, settlement agreements, and coexistence agreements.

- Provide legal advice on trademark infringement, enforcement, and compliance matters.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely updates and strategic guidance.

- Communicate effectively with clients, registry officials, counsels, and internal teams. Mentor junior associates and review their work for accuracy and quality.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- 7 - 10 years of post-qualification experience in trademarks.

- Proven ability to independently manage trademark portfolios. Strong hands-on experience in trademark prosecution and opposition matters.

- Excellent drafting skills with attention to legal accuracy and clarity. Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

- Prior experience in a reputed law firm or corporate IP practice.

- Working knowledge of international trademark laws and procedures (e.g., Madrid Protocol).

- Exposure to cross-border trademark filings and enforcement matters.

- Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members.
