Amneal Pharmaceuticals - Assistant General Manager - Legal - LLB/LLM

Role Overview:

The Head of Legal will be responsible for the operation legal function across multiple pharmaceutical manufacturing sites, including API, Formulations, R&D, Biologics and Clinical Trials activities. This role requires strategic management of legal risks, advisory services, litigation, and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws while supporting the business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Legal Strategy: Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with organizational goals.

- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 3 legal professionals.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical, clinical trial, biologics, and data privacy laws.

- Commercial Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, partners, and stakeholders.

- Litigation Management: Oversee litigation matters, liaise with external counsel, and safeguard company interests.

- Advisory Services: Provide legal advice on governance, risk management, and strategic decisions.

- Cross functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, manufacturing, and commercial teams to support initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

- LLB/LLM from a recognized university.

- 12-18 years of legal experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals or life sciences.

- Strong knowledge of Indian pharmaceutical regulations & clinical trial laws.

- Proven experience in litigation management, legal advisory service and complex commercial contracts.

- Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
