Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day revenue and expense accounting, monthly book closing, financial reporting, statutory compliances (including GST and direct taxation), and audits.
The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial regulations and GAAP.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual book closing.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting principles.
- Manage reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and journal entries.
Taxation & Compliance
- Coordinate with consultants and internal stakeholders for tax assessments, audits, and scrutiny matters.
- Maintain compliance with all direct and indirect tax laws and regulatory frameworks.
Audit & Controls
- Ensure implementation and monitoring of strong internal controls and policies.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and cross-functional teams for audit closures and financial reviews.
Team Leadership & Process Management
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and policies for finance operations.
Other Responsibilities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in coordination with FP&A or senior leadership.
- Contribute to strategic financial planning, cost control, and profitability analysis.
Candidate Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) / MBA in Finance from a reputed institution.
Experience: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably in IT, Telecom, or Service-based industries.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with multi-currency transactions and reporting.
- Proficiency in Accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
Soft Skills:
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation.
