Chief Financial Officer

Job Responsibilities:
Financial Planning:
AOP: A successful AOP process ensures that all parts of the organization are aligned and working towards common goals. Some few activities under AOP includes the following:
1. Goal Setting: Identify key financial and operational objectives for the year along with the business head. This could include revenue targets, EBITDA, cost management strategies, and growth initiatives.
2. Budgeting: Create detailed budgets for various departments, aligning them with the overall goals. This involves forecasting revenue and expenses and allocating resources accordingly.
3. Strategic Planning: Develop strategies along with the business heads to achieve the set goals. This might include market expansion plans, new product launches, or process improvements.
4. Performance Metrics: Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), MIS, Closely Watched Numbers(CWN) to measure progress against goals. Regularly track and analyze these metrics to ensure the company is on track. Another aspect is to automate these metrics monitoring and help in Weekly/monthly Business Review
5. Review and Adjustment: Regularly review the AOP and make necessary adjustments as needed. This includes vetting and validating the assumption shared by the business heads to ensures that the plan remains relevant and effective throughout the year.
6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans. This helps in mitigating any adverse impacts on the business.
Financial Controller:
1. Accuracy of Financial Reporting: Measures the timeliness and correctness of financial reports, ensuring they are free from significant errors.
2. Compliance with Accounting Standards: Ensures adherence to relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
3. Internal Audit Results: Tracks the outcomes of internal audits to identify areas of improvement and ensure robust internal controls.
4. Cost Control: Monitors the effectiveness of cost management strategies and compares actual costs against budgeted costs.
5. Accounts Payable Turnover: Assesses how quickly the company pays its suppliers, indicating efficiency in managing payables.
6. Accounts Receivable Turnover: Measures the efficiency in collecting receivables and managing credit policies.
7. Budget Variance Analysis: Evaluates deviations from the budget to identify reasons for variances and take corrective actions.
8. Operating Expense Ratio: Compares operating expenses to total revenue, helping to control and manage overhead costs.
9. Financial Close Cycle Time: Tracks the time taken to close the books at the end of a reporting period, aiming to shorten the close cycle.
10. Cash Flow Management: Monitors cash flow to ensure liquidity and support the company's operational needs.
