About the job
The successful candidate will work primarily with internal stakeholder to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and timelines.
Project Manager will coordinate with cross-functional team, including finance professionals, subject matter experts, IT specialist, and other stakeholders, to achieve project objectives and deliver measurable results.
Requires 5-6 years of experience in Project Management.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures related to IT and Finance.
Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Education and Experience Required:
- Skilled in managing IT projects within finance domain.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills to manage one or more complex projects simultaneously.
- Customer focused and ability to quickly understanding customer needs and delivering as promised.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to details.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
- Good knowledge or experience with project management software tools like MS Project and JIRA.
- Certification (PMP or Prince II) can be as an added advantage but not mandatory.
- Finance background would be added advantage.
Project manager responsibilities:
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Perform risk management to minimize potential risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
- Use and continually develop leadership skills.
- Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
