Aliaxis - Senior Manager - Legal - LLB

Key Responsibilities:

1. Litigation & Dispute Management:

- Lead and manage complex and high-value litigation matters across forums.

- Handle intellectual property disputes, commercial disputes, and civil litigation.

- Manage consumer complaints, regulatory notices, and related litigation.

- Coordinate with external counsel, prepare litigation strategies, and review pleadings and submissions.

- Assess legal risks and recommend strategic approaches aligned with business objectives.

2. Regulatory & Operational Advisory:

- Provide legal advisory support on factory and warehouse operations, regulatory compliance, and operational risk mitigation.

- Develop in-house subject matter expertise on the Legal Metrology Act and applicable rules, and advise business teams accordingly.

- Interpret regulatory requirements and ensure implementation of compliant processes.

3. Real Estate & Due Diligence:

- Conduct land due diligence, title verification, and risk analysis.

- Draft, review, and negotiate lease deeds, leave & license agreements, and related real estate documentation.

- Identify legal risks in property transactions and recommend mitigation strategies.

4. Contracts & Commercial Advisory:

- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, vendor agreements, service agreements, and business arrangements.

- Provide legal support to procurement, operations, sales, and other internal teams.

- Standardize contract templates and improve contracting processes.

5. Cross-Functional Legal Support:

- Provide practical legal advice to business stakeholders on operational and strategic issues.

- Assist leadership in decision-making by presenting legally sound, commercially viable solutions.

- Support internal policy development and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications:

- LL.B. degree from a recognized university (LL.M. preferred but not mandatory).

- 5-9 years of relevant legal experience (law firm and/or in-house).

Skills & Competencies:

- Proven experience handling complex litigation independently.

- Strong knowledge of civil, commercial, and regulatory law.

- Experience advising on operational legal matters and compliance frameworks.

- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment skills.

- Ability to manage multiple high-priority matters simultaneously.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.

- Commercial mindset with solution-oriented approach.

Preferred Experience:

- Prior exposure to manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, or regulated industries.

- Familiarity with Legal Metrology compliance and regulatory enforcement.

- Experience managing external counsel and litigation budgets.
