Alembic Pharmaceuticals - Deputy Manager/Manager - Business Development - Formulations - SEA Region

1. Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager - International Pharma (SEA Markets) will be responsible for driving business growth across South East Asia by identifying new opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the companys product presence. The role requires strong expertise in pharmaceutical exports, licensing, regulatory pathways, and commercial and agreement negotiations.

2. Key Responsibilities:

- Market Development & Strategy: Conduct market analysis, develop entry strategies, and monitor competition.

- Business Development: Identify partners, lead licensing deals, and attend events.

- Portfolio Management: Select products, coordinate with R&D and regulatory teams and project management team.

- Regulatory Coordination: Support dossier submission and compliance.

- Commercial Management: Handle forecasts, pricing, margins.

- Contract Management: Negotiate agreements and ensure legal compliance.

- Stakeholder Management: Maintain relationships with partners and internal teams including Finance, F&D, Manufacturing Team, Project management, Supply chain, and resolve operational issues.

3. Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy/Life Sciences.

- MBA preferred.

- 6-10 years in international pharma business development with SEA exposure.

4. Key Skills & Competencies:

- Technical: Regulatory knowledge, financial modeling, pricing strategy.

- Behavioral: Strategic thinking, negotiation skills, relationship management.

- Functional: Market analysis, stakeholder management, cross-cultural communication.

5. KPI's: Revenue achievement, new partnerships, product approvals, market expansion, profitability, execution timelines.
