Role Overview:
The Head CFMC - Capex Finance Management and Control role at Adani Enterprises Limited is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all financial aspects related to capital expenditure (Capex) projects. This role involves working closely with project teams, engineering departments, and senior management to ensure effective financial planning, budgeting, control, and reporting for Capex initiatives. The Head CFMC will play a vital role in optimizing resource allocation, mitigating financial risks, and ensuring the successful execution of strategic projects that drive the company's growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust Capex budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
- Lead the financial evaluation of proposed Capex projects, including detailed cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculations, and risk assessments.
- Establish and maintain strong financial controls over Capex spending, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project costs, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to maintain projects within budget and schedule.
- Prepare and present regular Capex performance reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics, trends, and insights.
- Collaborate with project teams to optimize project financing structures and explore opportunities for cost reduction and value engineering.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, financial institutions, and auditors, related to Capex financing and reporting.
- Provide financial guidance and support to project managers, ensuring they have the necessary tools and information to effectively manage project finances.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for all Capex projects, complying with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive Capex financial management strategies.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control techniques.
- Strong understanding of project finance principles, including debt financing, equity financing, and risk management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of finance professionals.
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in Capex finance management and control, preferably in infrastructure, energy, or related industries.
