Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to lead the Finance & Accounts function for a growing travel organization. The ideal candidate should possess strong managerial capabilities, expertise in financial planning, accounting operations, taxation, compliance, audits, and reporting, preferably within the Travel & Tourism industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, profitability analysis, and efficient team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the complete Finance & Accounts function.
- Develop and implement financial policies, controls, and procedures.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior management.
Accounting Operations:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including:
1. Accounts Payable
2. Accounts Receivable
3. General Ledger
4. Bank Reconciliation
5. Vendor Payments
6. Revenue Recognition
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closures.
- Review financial statements and management reports.
Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory regulations.
- Manage tax filings, assessments, and departmental audits.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting and taxation laws.
Travel Industry Financial Management:
- Monitor airline, hotel, DMC, visa, and vendor reconciliations.
- Manage BSP reconciliations and travel-related financial transactions.
- Analyze package profitability, margins, and operational costs.
- Oversee foreign exchange transactions and travel-related payments.
- Ensure accurate accounting of travel bookings, cancellations, refunds, and commissions.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Accounts & Finance team.
- Assign responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Conduct periodic training and process improvement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability and financial discipline.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare MIS reports, P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Present financial performance reports to management.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Support business expansion and investment decisions through financial analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.
- 8-15 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Minimum 35 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Prior experience in the Travel & Tourism industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial regulations.
- Experience handling audits, compliance, and financial planning.
