Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Account Manager to manage strategic accounts - ONGC and NTPC.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for account development, stakeholder management, business growth, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction within these marquee PSU clients.
This role requires a deep understanding of the public sector ecosystem and the ability to align business offerings with client goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ONGC and NTPC, managing overall account relationships and driving account strategy.
- Identify new business opportunities within ONGC & NTPC for products, services, or solutions.
- Build and maintain strong CXO and stakeholder-level relationships within both organizations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, pre-sales, delivery, operations) to align solutions with client needs and ensure timely execution.
- Lead and manage proposal preparation, RFP responses, pricing, contract negotiations, and delivery planning.
- Track and ensure timely payments, contract renewals, and escalations if needed.
- Conduct regular account reviews, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Stay updated on PSU procurement processes, tendering norms, and regulatory compliance related to ONGC and NTPC.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7-12 years of experience in key account management or enterprise sales, preferably in Energy, Power, Oil & Gas, or IT/tech sectors.
- Proven success in managing and growing large strategic accounts, especially PSUs.
- Strong knowledge of public sector procurement norms, tendering processes, and e-procurement portals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work across cross-functional teams and handle complex, high-value deals.
- Willingness to travel frequently to ONGC & NTPC sites or offices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management.
- Experience dealing with technical solutions (IT, software, engineering, or infrastructure services) in PSU contexts.
- Existing network/relationships within ONGC, NTPC, or similar public-sector units.
