Account Manager - ONGC & NTPC
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to manage strategic relationships with key public sector clients - ONGC and NTPC.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of enterprise solutions, government procurement processes, and experience handling large public sector accounts.
This role demands excellent client engagement, strategic account planning, and revenue growth focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ONGC and NTPC, managing day-to-day client engagement.
- Develop deep understanding of client business needs, operational priorities, and upcoming projects.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, RFPs, and tenders within these accounts.
- Drive end-to-end account strategy, revenue planning, and solution positioning.
- Work closely with internal teams (pre-sales, delivery, finance) to ensure smooth execution of projects.-
- Build strong C-level relationships and influence key decision-makers in both organizations.
- Track industry trends, competition, and policy changes impacting the accounts.
- Achieve revenue targets, renewal rates, and ensure overall account satisfaction.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7-12 years of account management / enterprise sales experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, Power, or Public Sector verticals
- Proven track record managing large government or PSU accounts (ONGC/NTPC experience is a strong plus)
- Understanding of government procurement processes, GEM portal, tenders, and contract cycles
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a matrixed, cross-functional setup
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in selling IT Solutions, Engineering Services, or Enterprise Products to PSU/Government clients
Knowledge of ERP, automation, infrastructure, or energy-related digital solutions
Existing relationships within ONGC and NTPC will be a significant advantage
