Position: Account Executive - New Business (SaaS)
Location: Chennai or Bangalore
About the Role
We are looking for a high-performing Account Executive with 10-12 years of experience in SaaS or IT product sales, with a strong focus on hunting and closing new business. The ideal candidate has a demonstrable track record selling into Finance and Procurement organizations, navigating complex buying cycles, and consistently achieving revenue targets.
This is a strategic, high-impact role that requires exceptional sales discipline, deep customer understanding, and the ability to position a value-driven SaaS solution to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, and stakeholder alignment to commercial negotiation and contract closure.
- Develop and execute targeted sales and outreach strategies focused on Finance and Procurement leadership.
- Proactively identify, engage, and convert new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, partner networks, and market intelligence.
- Build strong executive-level relationships and act as a trusted advisor, understanding client pain points and mapping them to product capabilities.
- Lead product presentations, demos, and value-based conversations tailored to CFO, Controller, or Procurement personas.
- Work closely with internal teams - Product, Presales, Delivery, and Marketing, to craft compelling proposals, RFP responses, and business cases.
- Maintain a healthy, predictable sales pipeline; forecast accurately; and consistently meet quarterly revenue targets.
- Provide feedback to internal teams on market trends, competitive insights, and customer requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10-12 years of experience in B2B SaaS or IT product sales with a heavy focus on new business acquisition.
- Proven success selling into Finance (FP&A, Accounting, Treasury) and/or Procurement organizations-understanding their processes, buying cycles, KPIs, and challenges.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and storytelling skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage long-cycle, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field.
- Self-driven, metrics-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
