Description: This is a remote position. Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Digital Marketing Manager to lead our digital marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in running organic and performance marketing campaigns in India, with expertise in managing both in-house teams and external agencies. You will oversee a team of 5-6 in-house employees and collaborate with external partners in performance marketing, creatives, and PR to drive brand awareness, user acquisition, and engagement for our family app. Key Responsibilities: - Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned for our high growth family platform targeting the Indian and Indian diaspora market globally. - Organic Marketing: Lead content marketing, SEO/ASO, social media, and community engagement initiatives to build brand loyalty and organic growth. - Performance Marketing: Plan, execute, and optimize paid campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other relevant channels to drive user acquisition and retention. - Brand Reputation/ORM: Monitor and manage brand reputation across online platforms, thus maintaining a positive brand image and building trust with customers. - Team Leadership: Manage and mentor an in-house team of 5-6 marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. - Agency Management: Oversee external agencies handling performance marketing, creatives, and PR, ensuring alignment with brand goals and campaign KPIs. - Analytics & Reporting: Monitor campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, adjust strategies based on data insights, and provide regular reports to leadership. - Brand Positioning: Collaborate with product and content teams to ensure consistent messaging that resonates with our target audience in India. - Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets effectively, optimizing spend for maximum ROI across organic and paid channels. - Market Research: Stay updated on digital marketing trends, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences in the Indian market to inform campaign strategies. Requirements: Skills: - Proven expertise in running successful PPC / paid campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other digital channels. - Strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, and social media strategies to improve brand awareness and organically acquire customers. - Experience in managing and mentoring in-house teams and coordinating with external agencies. - Proficiency in SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush or similar), social media tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Buffer etc) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar) and data-driven campaign management tools (Clevertap or similar). - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners. - Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the ancestry, astrology, or community-driven app space is a plus. - Education: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. - An MBA or advanced certification in digital marketing is preferred. - Other: Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment, with a hands-on approach and adaptability to evolving priorities.
