Role Overview:
As an MEP Project Manager based in Bangalore, you will lead the end-to-end mechanical, electrical, and plumbing operations for large-scale commercial interior projects. You will act as the primary technical lead, bridging the gap between design intent and on-site execution. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and high-profile clients, you will ensure that all engineering systems are integrated seamlessly, delivered within strict timelines, and meet the highest standards of operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of MEP projects, from initial estimation and budgeting to final commissioning, to ensure projects are delivered within financial and technical constraints.
- Manage complex HVAC, electrical, and plumbing installations by coordinating with site teams and vendors to maintain alignment with design specifications.
- Implement rigorous quality control protocols across all engineering operations to minimize rework and ensure long-term system reliability.
- Enforce strict EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards on-site to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Lead technical negotiations and vendor management to optimize procurement costs without compromising on the quality of materials or system performance.
- Provide strategic oversight on project scheduling and resource allocation to ensure seamless delivery for high-stakes corporate clients.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in MEP design and execution, with a deep understanding of HVAC systems, electrical load calculations, and plumbing infrastructure.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale project budgets and perform accurate estimation for complex commercial interior fit-outs.
- Strong leadership capabilities to manage multidisciplinary teams and external contractors in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical requirements to stakeholders and resolve on-site conflicts effectively.
- Deep knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry-standard EHS practices.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, on-site role, requiring 10 - 18 years of relevant experience in the commercial construction or interior fit-out industry.
- A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred, complemented by a track record of delivering high-quality engineering projects in Bangalore.
