Manager - Commercial Finance
Reporting: Business Head and CFO
Location: Mumbai
Role Purpose:
- Providing robust backend support to the Sales team to facilitate business growth by constantly exploring opportunities and providing solutions to problems and issues in order to make the business more sustainable and profitable.
- Ensuring adherence to and implementation of key financial systems and processes of the Company and ensuring maitenance of a high standard of Financial Hygiene at the sales operations level.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial:
- Analyse financial performance and identify areas for cost optimization and profitability improvement.
- Lead pricing strategies, margin management, and ROI analysis for new product launches and marketing initiatives.
Customer:
- Customer Enrolment to Exit and hygiene adherence on distributor management system, 100% invoicing, claim settlement, IT Tool implementation, Compliances etc.
- Oversee delivery on customer ROI KPI across all channels
- Coordinate with Central Tax Team to harmonize the statutory compliances both in the direct and indirect tax segments.
Process:
- Identify and implement process improvement and cost saving initiatives across all channels and levels of operations by working closely with cross functional teams.
- Implement strong financial controls and ensure adherence to corporate policies and compliance standards.
- Optimize financial processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in reporting and analysis.
- Lead financial evaluations for business cases, partnerships, and commercial agreements.
- Overseeing channel health, profitability and its financial structuring to drive growth
People:

- Manage and mentor the commercial finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and
continuous improvement
- Engage with cross-functional leaders to align financial goals with business objectives
Key Deliverables:
- Achieve collection targets for the month with timely adjustments of open items and thereby giving correct picture of Debtors ageing.
- Accurate and timely financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts
- Effective management of commercial risks and opportunities

Role Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- CA/MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution
- Additional finance certifications (e.g. CFA) are preferred
Experience (Type & Nature)
- 5+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing commercial finance in FMCG or related industries.
- Proven track record in driving financial strategies, budgeting and partnering with commercial teams.
Functional Competencies
- Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and strategy development
- Strong understanding of FMCG sales processess.
- Strong knowledge of commercial finance principles, pricing strategies, and profitability management
- Working knowledg of SAP HANA S4.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analytics
