Zstate AI - Equity Research Analyst

ABOUT ZSTATE:

Zstate builds domain intelligence datasets, annotation programs, and agentic AI systems across software engineering, healthcare, and finance. We work with leading AI labs to create the training infrastructure that makes frontier models smarter using real domain experts, not generic labour.

THE ROLE:

We're building a benchmark to evaluate how well AI models perform on equity research tasks. You'll work on the task creation side, designing the problems along with their evaluation criteria. Contributing directly to a dataset used by top AI companies.

This is a flexible, part-time engagement. Work on your own schedule, from anywhere. You will need access to your own laptop/desktop to deliver the work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Write structured tasks based on earnings reports and 10-K / annual report filings, covering revenue analysis, margin trends, segment performance, and management guidance

- Create rubrics that define what a correct, high-quality answer looks like for each task

- Ensure tasks are unambiguous, grounded in real filings, and challenging for a capable AI model

- Collaborate with the Zstate team over short feedback loops to calibrate quality

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

- 1-4 or more years of experience in equity research, buy-side analysis, or sell-side coverage

- Deep understanding of US GAAP and SEC filings like 10-K/10-Q

- Comfortable working with annual reports, earnings releases, and financial statements

- Strong written communication and tasks need to be clear and precise

- Self-directed and reliable; this role has minimal hand-holding

- Professional education in finance with a degree in management (MBA) and/or CFA charter-holder

Compensation & Engagement

- Paid on project-basis

- A live project takes 2 weeks to complete and the compensation is Rs. 75,000 - 1 lakh per project, - and might vary based on the nature of projects
