Job Description:


The Zonal Head - Agency Channel is a senior leadership position responsible for driving business performance, agency growth, and operational efficiency across a defined zone. The role requires strong strategic planning, team leadership, and agency channel development to meet revenue, recruitment, and persistency targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Strategy & Sales Management:

- Develop and implement zonal sales strategies in alignment with national business goals.

- Drive achievement of new business premium (NBP), case count, and active agent productivity targets.

- Monitor and improve persistency and other key quality parameters.

Agency Development & Expansion:

- Plan and execute recruitment of agents and Agency Development Managers (ADMs).

- Oversee training, mentoring, and certification of agency force to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

- Strengthen leadership pipeline within the zone through structured development programs.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and manage a team of Regional Heads / Area Managers / Cluster Managers.

- Drive a performance culture across the zone with clear KPIs and performance tracking.

- Provide guidance and coaching to ensure continuous skill and capability enhancement.

Compliance & Governance:

- Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations and internal policies.

- Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and HR teams to maintain a compliant and ethical sales environment.

Market Intelligence & Innovation:

- Monitor competition and market trends to adapt and innovate the agency model.

- Leverage digital tools and analytics to drive sales and agent engagement.
