Role Overview:
As the Zonal Sales Manager (Milk Product), you will spearhead the sales operations for our milk product portfolio across the Delhi zone. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening our distribution network. You will lead a team of Area Sales Managers and collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies. This role directly impacts the availability and accessibility of our high-quality milk products to consumers, contributing significantly to the company's overall success and brand reputation in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement zonal sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets for milk products within the Delhi zone.
- Manage and mentor a team of Area Sales Managers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to maximize their effectiveness.
- Expand and optimize the distribution network by identifying and onboarding new distributors and strengthening relationships with existing partners to enhance product reach.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and develop targeted sales initiatives.
- Manage key accounts within the zone, building strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction to drive repeat business and loyalty.
- Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations, in all sales activities.
- Collaborate with marketing team to execute promotional campaigns and trade marketing activities to increase brand visibility and drive sales.
- Manage budgets and control expenses related to sales operations within the zone, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Implement category management strategies to optimize product assortment and shelf placement in retail outlets, maximizing sales potential.
Required Skillset:
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies in the FMCG sector, particularly within the milk product category.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Strong understanding of channel management, distribution networks, and key account management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and identify trends and opportunities.
- Superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA from a reputed institution is preferred.
- Demonstrated adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
