Role Overview:

As the Zonal Sales Manager - Milk Powder, you will spearhead the sales and distribution of our milk powder product line across the Kolkata zone. This pivotal role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing a team of sales professionals, and nurturing strong relationships with key accounts. You will collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless product availability and achieve ambitious sales targets. Your efforts will directly impact market share growth, brand visibility, and overall revenue generation within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for the milk powder product line within the Kolkata zone, aligning with overall company objectives and maximizing market penetration.

- Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to drive individual and team success.

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including distributors, retailers, and institutional clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.

- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.

- Monitor sales performance against targets, track key metrics, and prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

- Collaborate with marketing and trade marketing teams to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns and trade activities, enhancing brand visibility and driving sales.

- Oversee the efficient distribution of milk powder products within the zone, working closely with the supply chain team to ensure timely delivery and minimize stockouts.

- Manage sales budgets and expenses effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and maximizing return on investment.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in FMCG sales, particularly in the food industry, with a strong understanding of sales processes, distribution channels, and key account management.

- Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies, achieve sales targets, and drive market share growth in a competitive environment.

- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key accounts and internal stakeholders.
