Zonal Manager
Description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed zonal sales targets.
- Forecast sales and plan resources to ensure target delivery.
- Monitor daily/weekly/monthly performance and take corrective actions when needed.
2. Team Management:
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and Sales Executives.
- Set performance objectives and conduct regular reviews.
- Build a high-performing team culture focused on results and accountability.
3. Market Expansion & Development:
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments.
- Execute plans for territory expansion and product penetration.
- Track competitor activities and recommend strategic responses.
4. Distributor & Channel Management:
- Manage distributors, dealers, and key retail partners.
- Ensure adequate product availability, visibility, and compliance with company policies.
- Optimize channel productivity and relationships.
5. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
- Handle high-level customer issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Gather customer insights to improve products and service quality.
6. Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare sales reports, dashboards, and business reviews for senior management.
- Analyze market trends, performance metrics, and financial data.
- Use insights to guide strategic decisions and planning.
Skills & Qualifications:
- MBA mandatory in Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- 6 to 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 to 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
- Good understanding of channel management and regional markets.
- Target-driven mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
