Our client is a leading Clean Technology and Renewable Energy organization with deep expertise in Solar Project Development, EPC, and Electric Vehicle Manufacturing. With 400+ Solar Power Plant installations across India, the company is scaling operations across multiple regions and is seeking strategic, growth-driven leaders to head zonal business operations.
Role Overview
The Zonal Business Head is a senior management role responsible for end-to-end sales leadership, business performance, and strategic growth in the assigned zone. This position requires a strong business mindset, ability to influence high-value customers, lead multi-functional teams, and drive long-term revenue expansion in the renewable energy and solar EPC market.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute zonal sales strategies aligned with corporate business goals.
- Drive revenue planning, market expansion, and profitability initiatives.
- Provide strategic insights on market trends, competitor movements, and business risks.
- Ensure high governance standards, compliance, and ethical business conduct.
Sales & Business Development
- Lead zonal sales operations to deliver consistent and predictable revenue.
- Build and manage high-value B2B pipelines across industrial, commercial, and institutional segments.
- Drive conversion of large industrial/commercial clients through consultative, solution-oriented engagement.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships within the renewable energy and solar EPC ecosystem.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Cultivate strong relationships with CXOs, industry leaders, banks, EPC partners, and government bodies.
- Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and strategic meetings.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through structured account management and service excellence.
Team & Operational Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate zonal sales teams to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Build a culture of ownership, discipline, and customer-centricity.
- Oversee sales operations, forecasting, reporting, and data-driven decision making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (EPC, engineering, finance, operations) for seamless execution.
Qualification & Experience Requirements
- MBA (Sales/Marketing/Business Management) Mandatory
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics Preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in B2B Sales/Business Development (Solar/Renewable Energy strongly preferred).
- Proven leadership experience managing zonal/regional business operations.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrated success in achieving revenue targets and managing high-value clients.
