Role Overview:
As the Zonal Head - South & West for Unsecured Business Loans, you will spearhead the growth and profitability of our low-ticket lending portfolio across these critical regions. Your day-to-day will involve strategic planning, team leadership, performance management, and forging key partnerships.
You will collaborate closely with regional sales managers, credit teams, marketing, and risk departments to ensure seamless execution and achievement of business objectives. This role directly impacts our ability to empower small businesses with accessible financing, driving economic growth and financial inclusion in the South and West zones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive zonal business plan to achieve targeted loan disbursement volumes, revenue, and profitability for unsecured business loans.
- Lead and mentor a team of regional sales managers and their respective teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on customer acquisition, relationship management, and portfolio quality.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners, including DSAs, Fintechs, and other relevant stakeholders, to expand market reach and generate quality leads.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as disbursement rates, delinquency rates, and cost of acquisition, taking corrective actions as needed to optimize performance.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and credit risk parameters in the loan origination and disbursement process.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and product enhancements to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the unsecured lending space.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns to generate leads and build brand awareness in the South and West zones.
- Work closely with the credit and risk teams to refine credit scoring models and risk mitigation strategies to minimize loan losses and maintain a healthy portfolio.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams in the unsecured lending space, with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
- Exceptional business development and relationship management skills, with the ability to cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels.
- Deep understanding of the unsecured lending market, including competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and emerging trends.
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field from a Tier 1/Tier 2 institution is preferred.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the South and West zones.
- Minimum of 18-25 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a significant portion of that experience in unsecured lending.
