Zonal Head of Private Banking is a senior management role responsible for driving revenue and assets under management (AUM) for a specific geographical zone, overseeing a team of relationship managers, managing relationships with ultra-high-net-worth clients, and ensuring strategic alignment, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role combines business leadership, team management, client service, and strategic planning to achieve business objectives.
Key responsibilities
Business development and growth:
- Drive revenue and AUM growth for the private banking business in the zone.
- Acquire new clients and expand existing relationships through sales and cross-selling of financial products.
- Develop and implement region-specific business strategies based on market trends and client needs.
Team leadership and management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of private banking relationship managers.
- Set performance targets, conduct reviews, and provide professional development to the team.
- Foster a culture of high performance and ensure the team is well-resourced.
Client relationship management:
- Manage relationships with key ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients.
- Ensure high levels of client retention and satisfaction through proactive service and needs assessment.
Strategic and operational oversight:
- Ensure all operations are compliant with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Monitor portfolio quality and minimize non-performing assets (NPAs).
- Collaborate with internal departments like legal, compliance, and operations for seamless service delivery.
- Streamline processes to improve operational efficiency.
