Zonal Head - Home Loans - West

Role Summary:

- The Zonal Head - West will be responsible for overseeing and driving the home loans business across the Western region.

- This includes strategic planning, team leadership, business development, channel management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

- The role demands a proven leader who can scale business, manage risk, and drive profitability in a dynamic market environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Strategy & P&L Ownership

- Define and execute the zone's business plan to achieve growth, profitability, and market share targets.

- Monitor zonal performance and ensure adherence to budgeted revenue and cost goals.

- Analyze market trends, competitor intelligence, and customer insights to drive strategic decisions.

2. Sales & Distribution Leadership

- Lead and manage a large multi-tiered sales team (Cluster Heads, Area Managers, Sales Managers).

- Drive business acquisition through direct sales, DSAs, connectors, builders, and digital channels.

- Identify and onboard new sourcing channels and partnerships to enhance reach.

3. Portfolio Quality & Risk Management

- Monitor loan disbursals, approval ratios, and portfolio quality metrics.

- Ensure adherence to underwriting standards and credit norms in coordination with credit and risk teams.

- Review delinquency reports and implement corrective actions to maintain healthy asset quality.

4. People Management & Development

- Hire, train, and mentor high-performing teams to ensure goal alignment and performance culture.

- Build leadership pipeline across cities in the zone through talent identification and development.

- Lead performance reviews, training interventions, and employee engagement initiatives.

Key Requirements:

Educational Qualification: MBA/PGDM (preferred) or Graduate in any discipline.

Experience:

- 15+ years of total experience in Home Loans / Mortgage Lending.

- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing a large region or zone.

- Exposure to both affordable and prime housing segments is a plus.
