Role: Zonal Head Health Insurance (South 1 Zone: Kerala & Karnataka)

What is the main purpose of this role?:

You will be responsible for growing the health insurance business in Kerala and Karnataka through Axis Bank. Your job is to increase sales, build strong relationships with the bank teams, lead the sales team, and ensure business targets are achieved.

What will you do?:

- Increase health insurance sales through Axis Bank branches and the bank's Assets team.

- Lead and manage Regional Managers, Cluster Managers, and sales teams to achieve business goals.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders in Axis Bank to generate more business.

- Work closely with the bank's Regional Fee Head and Circle Fee Heads to achieve health insurance revenue targets.

- Increase and maintain market share by performing better than other insurance partners working with Axis Bank.

- Ensure the sales team is deployed effectively, remains productive, and reduce employee attrition.

- Achieve targets related to sales revenue, business growth, profitability, productivity, and market share.

- Plan and execute sales campaigns and activities to increase insurance sales.

- Regularly review business performance, identify weak areas, and take corrective actions.

- Ensure excellent service for bank partners and customers.

- Conduct training programs to improve product knowledge and sales skills of bank employees and the sales team.

- Ensure all business activities follow company policies and regulatory requirements.

- Study market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.

Who should apply?:

You should have:

- A graduate degree (MBA is preferred).

- Around 1015 years of experience in Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Bancassurance, or Banking.

- Experience handling large regions and working with multiple banking channels, especially Branch Banking and Assets.

- Strong leadership skills with experience managing large teams.

- Good relationship management skills to work with senior bank officials.

- Strong communication, analytical, and execution abilities.

- Willingness to travel frequently across Kerala and Karnataka.

You will be fully responsible for the performance of the South 1 Zone (Kerala & Karnataka). Your success will be measured by how well you grow the health insurance business, achieve sales targets, strengthen the partnership with Axis Bank, and lead your team to deliver consistent business results.
